I’m Adam, and I make things with wood and sometimes metal. I mostly do that on weekends and evenings, as I do have a non-woodworking day job. I am from a suburb of Chicago, and currently live in Oak Park, a different suburb of Chicago which also happens to be a nationally recognized urban arboretum.

My approach to woodworking and design evolves as I learn more, but it usually comes down to making something that is:

• Functional for everyday use

• Looks and ages beautifully

• Has some precedent in woodworking/design

• Uses/showcases nice lumber
